Hanatei Xclusive KL in Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur

"A friend recommended this place for our annual gathering, and we opted for the Japanese ala carte buffet on a Friday night. Surprisingly, we were the only customers there. Despite my low expectations, the food turned out to be quite good. The baked oysters with cheese/mentaiko and salmon Teppanyaki were particularly enjoyable. Most of the dishes we tried were good, but I wouldn't recommend the hotpot if you have limited stomach space. Additionally, although there are limited choices, the sashimi here is much better than the one at Lalaport, despite being much more affordable. The freshness and proper temperature control really make a difference. We paid a nett of RM88 for a 2 hour unlimited ala carte buffet. While the food serving speed wasn't lightning-fast as they made it upon order, it wasn't slow either. Overall, it's not a fancy Japanese food place, but the food quality is quite satisfying."

"Hanatei Xclusive is a quiet, underrated Japanese restaurant which should be your radar! It's my favourite place for reasonably priced sashimi at the moment. I always order the sashimi rice bowls. 5 stars every time!"

"We had a very nice dinner last night. Yus was our waiter and he was FANTASTIC in service and conversation. The restaurant was not very busy. We received attentive service and great recommendations for dishes. We have been in KL for a week and this is by far the best meal we had. We will be coming back."

"Awesome place for Japanese food. Beef teriyaki is really tender and juicy. Highly recommended and a must try for beef lovers. Quality of fish in Shake Mayo Maki was decent, fresh and delicious. Staff friendly"

"A friend suggested we should check this place out although it is on the other side of town for us. We tried the a la cart all you can eat, which is only available on weekend. Surprising there was only another table besides us for Saturday lunch. The promotion are probably a bit small that other a la carte buffet, but well presented. Frankly, I don’t mind the size, so I can try without worry of left overs if I don’t like. The highlight for me was the big and freak (ocean smell) shrimp sashimi. I wasn’t impressed with the spicy unagi maki, and mostly because it was mostly rice. Chicken karage is a bigger chunk than usual, and felt a bit oily. I definitely recommend the Saba, which was still moist inside. The soba was served with half cooked quail egg, which was a surprise to me because the yolk wouldn’t blend with the sauce. The rest is good, but nothing to brag about compared to places with similar concept. Overall, I would come back for that price and specifically for some items"

"3 dinery in one place and decided to try Hanatei. Overall the food was fantastic. I had Tori Shio Teishoku and Sashimi Moriwase. The chicken was seasoned perfectly, the soup taste great, Sashimi was fresh, absolutely delicious! To my surprised the food I ordered comes with Matcha Ice Cream, am not fond of matcha so I wouldn't want to comment much on that. The Oysters was superb too and fresh. Glad that I picked this place will definitely come back here!"
